At the beginning of your Cuba Dance Holiday, you can also take part in a salsa course! To prepare yourself for a plunge into Cuba’s rich nightlife, your dance teacher will give you an introduction into Cuban Salsa. It is impossible to imagine Cuba without its salsa dancing, whether this be in its former casinos, cabarets, the countryside, in the streets of the so-called “barrios” neighbourhoods. Sendero del Caburní
On the third day of our Cuba Adventure Holiday, you will travel to Sendero del Caburní, a real highlight of the Topes de Collantes region! Before heading to Trinidad which is just a few kilometres away, you will walk the 4km trail located within the Topes de Collantes National Park. Your efforts will then be rewarded with one of the Caribbean’s largest waterfall. At a height of 75m high, the Salto de Caburníhas a natural pool set at the bottom of it, which is perfect for a refreshing swim. The hike starts with a descent past coffee plantations and through the dense green forests. With a little luck, you should spot an array of wildlife along the way, including Cuba’s national bird, the Tocororo, which can be heard from miles away due to its distinctive song. The hike continues with a rather steep incline, but a cool fresh fruit juice at “El Gallo” bar at the end of the trek will soon help you to relax!
Maria la Gorda
At the end of your holiday you will have the chance to sit back and relax on the beaches of Maria la Gorda. This holiday takes you off the beaten track to the tranquil beaches on the far west of Cuba, on the Guanahacabibes Peninsula in the Cabo Corrientes Nature Reserve.For those who cannot just sit and lie there on a beach, a new adventure awaits you under the water; the Canarreos Archipelago is one of the best diving destination in the whole of Cuba! Whether you choose to dive or just go snorkelling, you can discover not only the colourful array of marine creatures, but also what remains of sunken galleons and weaponry from the days of pirates.
